Stewardship!

Guadalupe River Park Conservancy

We hope 2014 was as good to you as it was to us. With your support, we launched our Trail Ambassador program and are grateful for the volunteers who stepped up to help. Additionally, we provided meaningful projects and a fulfilling experience for individual and corporate workday volunteers – over 17,000 volunteer hours in 2014!  Projects included:
  • the upkeep of the Heritage Rose Garden and Historic Orchard
  • 25 river clean ups removing over 5 tons of debris
  • Paying for the ongoing operating costs of the Visitor Center, freeing up city resources for other projects

In 2015, we will take on maintenance of the Rotary Children’s PlayGarden, a new $6 million facility that will open in February.

We couldn’t do any of this without community support; less than 10% of this year’s budget came from government funds. Please consider making a tax-deductible, year-end gift to support our efforts to create and maintain an iconic park in downtown San Jose.

Looking for tributes?  Please consider our Adopt-a-Rose program, Park Benches, or Granite Pavers. Call 408-298-7657 for more information.
