Stewardship!
Guadalupe River Park Conservancy
With your support, we provided meaningful projects and a fulfilling experience for individual and corporate workday volunteers – setting a new record, with over 18,000 volunteer hours in 2016! Projects included:
- operations and maintenance of the Rotary PlayGarden, with the goal of maintaining the cleanest and safest place to play in the South Bay
- the upkeep of the Heritage Rose Garden and Historic Orchard, harvesting over 1,500 pounds of fruit donated to local food banks and shelters
- 19 river clean ups, removing tons of debris destined for San Francisco Bay
- Paying for the ongoing operating costs of the Visitor Center, freeing up city resources for other projects
We couldn’t do any of this without community support; less than 15% of this year’s budget came from government funds. Please consider making a tax-deductible, year-end gift to support our efforts to create and maintain an iconic park in downtown San Jose.
