Super Guadalupe River Run
Kick off Super Bowl Sunday with the annual Super Guadalupe River Run (10K/5K/Kids' Fun Run) at 9 AM on Sunday, February 4th.
Don’t fumble the opportunity to burn some calories. Whether you go long for 6.2 miles or tackle the 3.1 mile quarterback sneak, you’ll earn your game-time guacamole on the Guadalupe. Huddle with family, friends, training partners, neighbors, co-workers to run a 10K or 5K -- cross the goal line to score guilt-free indulgence during the game.
You won’t want to miss the second in our series of collectors’ shirts! Proceeds benefit our education and stewardship efforts.
Want to volunteer? Join us for shifts on Saturday, February 3rd and on event day. Click here to sign up.
Adopt A Rose for Valentine's Day
Looking for a distinctive Valentine's gift? A bouquet of roses will last a week, but a rose bush will bloom throughout the year. With your donation of $60, we will help you select the perfect rose and prepare a gift box for your Valentine.

Guadalupe River Park Survey
SPUR, a non-profit organization, is conducting a survey about Guadalupe River Park in preparation for a re-envisioning of the park. While we are not thrilled with some of the options listed (e.g., residential), we encourage you to participate. Your ideas will help them better understand your desires for this natural and community resource and help make the park a great space for residents, employees and visitors.
Please click below to take and share this short survey. They will not share your personal information with others.

Volunteer Corner
We are grateful recipients of a new donation stand thanks to Ethan, who completed the project to earn his eagle scout award.
A hearty thanks to all the volunteer groups that toiled to make GRPG a more beautiful place this past November:
Hope Services
Intel
Mission Bay
Morgan Autism Center
Pioneer High School
South Bay Heritage Rose Group
UCCE Master Gardeners of SCC
And that is only the groups! We also appreciate the scores of individuals who come out weekly to make a difference. We logged more than 1,311 volunteer hours in November.

Meet Volunteers: UCCE Master Gardeners
The UCCE Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County have been dedicated volunteers in the Historic Orchard since 2013. They have adopted the family portion of the orchard, which is the side closest to the river. They come out twice a month on Wednesdays to prune, weed, mulch, and do whatever is needed to keep the orchard in tip-top shape. They also offer educational opportunities to the general public. We appreciate their time and dedication! |
