Rotary Children's Playgarden Update

Great news - the construction permits have been granted; the temporary fence is going up, and you will soon see a lot of activity on site. You can follow the progress on our Facebook page.

SanDisk Volunteers

Thanks to over 150 SanDisk employees, the Heritage Rose Garden got some much needed attention this week. These enthusiastic folks deadheaded, weeded, and applied compost and mulch to the rose beds. Their service day also included a generous financial donation that allowed us to invest in new tools - thank you SanDisk!

Join us for our next evening deadheading event on Tuesday, June 10 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Sign up here!

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunties

Meet Volunteer Sam Trahin
Sam Trahin has been volunteering with us for a month now. He grew up in Wayne Indiana and recently graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Marketing. Sam moved to California 2 months ago to pursue a career in professional swimming. Sam hopes to make the US Olympic team in the upcoming Summer Games. It wasn't Sam's marketing or swimming skills that brought him to volunteer with GRPC but Sam's love of being outdoors. He and his teammate spend much of their time in the park reading and enjoying the trails, and felt volunteering in the park was the best way to give back. Thanks for all your help Sam!

So many ways to give:
Adopt A Rose, General Donations, The Donor Walkway, Memberships,

Please consider a bequest to GRPC as part of your estate plan. There's no minimum amount required. In fact, you can specify any dollar amount, leave a percentage of your estate, or designate what remains after your estate has been settled. Here's some sample language:

I give to Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, a California non-profit corporation (Tax ID 77-0166797), $_______ or _____% of my estate or ____% of the residue of my estate.

I intend this gift to be used for an endowment that will support Guadalupe River Park Conservancy in perpetuity OR I intend this gift to be used at the Board of Directors' discretion.
