Now Open Saturdays
We are excited to announce new weekend hours for the Visitor & Education Center -- Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop in to pick up trail maps and information, view our local wildlife displays, or just to say hello. Thank you to our Advisory Council member Gloria Duffy for providing seed money to support weekend staffing.
We also have openings for Rotary PlayGarden attendants (shifts vary). For questions, a full job description and/or to submit your resume, e-mail jobs@grpg.org.
Adopt a Rose for Mother's Day
Now you can discover your enchanted rose! Adopt a Rose for Mom (and anyone who symbolizes "Mom"!) at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden and give the gift that keeps on living.
Be our Guest for Tea and Roses
Saturday, May 12th, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden
Come see the garden in bloom! Volunteers will be on hand to help you locate your rose and learn about the garden. Refreshments will be provided.
Pre-order online and we'll have your gift package waiting, just in time for Mother's Day! Or choose your rose and take home your gift package the same day.

Window on the River Park
Window on the River Park, our annual donor recognition event, will be held on Thursday, May 24th and is generously hosted and underwritten by Adobe Systems, Inc.

Volunteer Corner
Many thanks to the volunteers who joined us for Earth Month workdays in the gardens, including large groups from Samsung (top) and Intel (bottom).

Meet Volunteer: Angela
Angela is volunteering with us to care for our education animals and learn more about native species. She is working on her bachelor's degree in biology with a physiology concentration at CSU East Bay in preparation to become a veterinarian. Her interests are longboarding, the beach, working out, and staying active. Everyone here at Guadalupe River Park Conservancy would like to thank Angela for taking such great care of our animals. |
