Rotary PlayGarden Campaign

Help us keep the PlayGarden clean and safe!

With over 243,000 visitors since May 2015, the PlayGarden needs lots of TLC so we have launched a campaign to fund operations and maintenance, with the goal of maintaining the cleanest and safest place to play in the South Bay!

As Conservancy employees, Rotary PlayGarden Attendants play a key role in that effort, greeting guests at the gate, enforcing park rules, and performing daily maintenance tasks. While paid attendants were an unanticipated cost, they have proven essential in keeping the park clean and safe.

Water Festival

We hosted our 14th annual Water Festival on Wednesday, September 14th, with over 250 5th-grade students from River Glen, Luther Burbank, and Franklin schools.

Many thanks to our volunteers and the Michael Lee Environmental Foundation for underwriting the costs.

Thanks to our Environmental Education Partners: Children's Discovery Museum, City of San Jose - Environmental Services Dept., Marine Science Institute, Our City Forest, SF Bay Wildlife Society, Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society, Santa Clara Valley Water District, Save the Bay, UCCE Master Gardeners, Ulistac Natural Area Restoration & Education Project, Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Center, and Youth Science Institute

Legacy Giving

Why Should You Include a Charitable Gift in Your Will (Or Living Trust)?

  1. It's simple to do. It can be as easy as including language stating, "I give $20,000 to Guadalupe River Park Conservancy."
  2. You can change your mind. We won't receive the gift until after your death. During your lifetime, you can amend anything you choose, i.e., beneficiaries, amounts, etc.
  3. Tax-wise, it could be beneficial. Gifts to qualified charitable organizations reduce the value of your estate for estate tax purposes.
  4. It's an easy way to support Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, and we'd be grateful for your gift. Bequests of every size build our future financial strength.
