Trail Updates
We are excited to be one of the newest hosts of a Ford GoBike station, right outside the Visitor & Education Center.
We also participated in the City's annual trail count and survey on September 13th, hosting a count station north of Coleman Ave.

Registration is now open for our Feb. 4, 2018 Super Guadalupe River Run (10K/5K/Kids' Fun Run). Register early and save! Click here.
Kittens
We are hosting a new litter of kittens and are pleased to introduce Comet and Orion, pictured above with our education staff. They will be available for adoption soon, along with their two siblings. E-mail cats@grpg.org if interested.
Volunteer Corner
Five groups from Cisco (including the one pictured above) joined us for workdays in the gardens as part of the company's Global Service Month.
A hearty thanks to all the volunteer groups that toiled to make GRPG a more beautiful place this past August:
Bellarmine College Preparatory
California San Jose LDS Missionaries
Cisco
Friends of Children with Special Needs
Greater Opportunities
HandsOn Bay Area
Hope Services
Intuit
Mission Bay
Morgan Autism Center
Moss Adams
National Charity League
South Bay Heritage Rose Group
And that is only the groups! We also appreciate the scores of individuals who come out weekly to make a difference. We logged more than 1,488 volunteer hours in August.

Meet Volunteer: Jorge
Jorge is one of our garden and Trail Ambassador volunteers; he is recovering from a work injury. When he is not picking up trash or cleaning park signs, you will find him riding his bicycle or playing one of his many musical instruments. Jorge has been a great help with around the park and office. We hope he's able to return to work soon, but will miss him when that time comes. Everyone at GRPC would like to give a big round of applause and thank you to Jorge for all that he's doing for us. |
