On Saturday, October 11, 2003 the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens hosted the 8th annual Pumpkins in the Park, an environmental harvest festival for young families designed to create awareness of the Guadalupe River and celebrate the fall season.  10,000 people attended Pumpkins in the Park to learn about the Guadalupe River, make scarecrows, decorate pumpkins, taste apples and cider, listen to great music, eat great food and  partake in countless other activities.

We Needed Volunteers, and we got them!

We had more volunteers than ever.  Lucy Perez and all of the event planners would like to thank the countless volunteers who made this event possible.

Treat your children, grandchildren, or some special little guests to an exciting evening of Disney on Ice! Wednesday, October 29 is opening night for Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey at HP Pavilion. The performance begins at 7:30 PM.

Thanks to a generous donation from Disney and NBC11, the Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens have a number of tickets to sell for the opening night performance at a discounted price of $10.00 each. The entire proceeds from the sale of these tickets remain with the Friends and will be used for our children's education programs.
