Zero Waste

We've decided to make this a Zero Waste Event as defined by the City of San Jose. We hope you can help us meet the requirements...here are some of the things we are doing:

  • Eco-Stations will be strategically located throughout the event. They will offer visitors the option to place things in the trash, in the recycling bin, or in the composting bin. Volunteers will staff each station to help people make the right choice.
  • All of the food we will be serving will be compostable itself and be served on paper products that can be composted.
  • Many of the materials used to produce the event are reusable, such as burlap table clothes, reusable signage, etc.
  • We've gone almost entirely digital...very few paper fliers were printed this year!
