On
Saturday, October 13, 2007 the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens
hosted the 12th annual Pumpkins in the
Park, an environmental harvest festival for
young families designed to create awareness of the Guadalupe River and
celebrate the fall season. 10,000 to 12,000 people attended Pumpkins
in the Park to learn about the Guadalupe River, make scarecrows, decorate pumpkins, taste
apples and cider, listen to great music, eat great food and
partake in countless other activities. The Friends of GRPG
worked hard, and though the ground was a little wet, people still
came and made it all worth while.
