Bluegrass Music from...
Shed House
Traditional mountain bluegrass...from San Francisco!
Shed House started as small group of friends interested in dissecting, in intimate detail, the sounds and performance of traditional mountain bluegrass music. Influenced by the playing and singing of Ralph and Carter Stanley, George Shuffler, Curly Ray Cline, and many others; it's all about the vocal harmonies for us. We like to play a rich repertoire of duets, trios, and quartets interspersed with blazing instrumentals that showcase the banjo/fiddle combination that is so key to this music.

Shed House emerged from the basement in 2009, and were thrilled to discover a wonderful set of friends and fans who are just as excited about the traditional mountain sound as we are!

Shed House is:
Eric Embry - Banjo, Vocals
Jon McNeill - Upright Bass, Vocals
Rob White - Fiddle, Vocals
Thomas Wille - Guitar, Vocals

Zero Waste Event!
We've decided to make this a Zero Waste Event as defined by the City of San Jose. We hope you can help us meet the requirements...here are some of the things we are doing:
  • 4 Eco-Stations will be strategically located throughout the event. They will offer visitors the option to place things in the trash, in the recycling bin, or in the composting bin.
  • All of the food we will be serving will be compostable itself and be served on products that can be composted or recycled.
  • Many of the materials used to produce the event are reusable, such as burlap table clothes, clay pot booth markers, signage, etc.
  • We've gone almost entirely digital...very few paper fliers were printed this year!
  • Vendors are asked to limit packaging, non-recyclable give aways, and entirely exclude styrofoam.
