Super Guadalupe River Run

It's not too late to outrun your shadow on the Guadalupe!

Join us this Saturday, Feb. 2 - Groundhog Day - for our annual 5K walk/run, 10K run, and Kids' Fun Run to see if you can outrun your shadow.

You won’t want to miss the third in our series of collectors’ shirts featuring children from the Shirley Lewis Rotary Sculpture Walk! Proceeds benefit our education and stewardship efforts.

Want to volunteer? We can use a few more hands for set up on Friday afternoon, February 1st. E-mail volunteer@grpg.org for more information.

Adopt a Rose for Valentine's Day

Looking for a distinctive Valentine's gift? A bouquet of roses will last a week, but a rose bush will bloom throughout the year. With your donation of $60, we will help you select the perfect rose from the Heritage Rose Garden and prepare a gift box for your Valentine.

Staff Updates

We are pleased to introduce Lauren McCawley who joins our team as education program associate. Lauren brings several years of education experience including, most recently, her role at the Children's Discovery Museum as a BioSITE educator. As a former classroom teacher in Hungary, Spain, and South Korea, Lauren has experience educating in a variety of languages and settings and will bring a unique perspective to our program experience. Please join us in welcoming Lauren!

Legacy Giving

Why Should You Include a Charitable Gift in Your Will (Or Living Trust)?

  1. It's simple to do. It can be as easy as including language stating, "I give $20,000 to Guadalupe River Park Conservancy."
  2. You can change your mind. We won't receive the gift until after your death. During your lifetime, you can amend anything you choose, i.e., beneficiaries, amounts, etc.
  3. Tax-wise, it could be beneficial. Gifts to qualified charitable organizations reduce the value of your estate for estate tax purposes.
  4. It's an easy way to support Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, and we'd be grateful for your gift. Bequests of every size build our future financial strength.
