Super Guadalupe River Run

Our Feb. 7, 2016 Super Guadalupe River Run is the perfect incentive to keep that New Year's resolution. 10K and 5K finishers earn a medal and t-shirt.

Adopt-a-Rose

Looking for a distinctive Valentine's gift? A bouquet of roses will last a week, but a rose bush will bloom throughout the year. With your donation of $60, we will help you select the perfect rose and prepare a gift box for your Valentine. Click here for more details.

Rotary PlayGarden

With over 113,000 visitors, the Rotary PlayGarden is getting lots of use. Want to help us to maintain the cleanest park in the South Bay or perhaps you are looking for a way to pay tribute to someone? Please consider a park bench. For a tax-deductible donation of $5,000 (small bench) or $10,000 (large), the donor's name or dedication stays on the bench for five years. Click here for more info.

Trail Updates

The river is running again! Be careful when using the trails during storms.

The third and final meeting for the Guadalupe River Master Plan for Virginia Street to Chynoweth Avenue will be held on January 20th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Gardner Community Center at 520 West Virginia Street.

The west bank trail between Coleman Avenue to Julian Street is closed due to the construction of Autumn Parkway but will connect to Julian once the road building is finished at the end of this year. Please use the east bank trail during the closure.

Volunteer Corner

Many hands make light work of river clean up!

A hearty thanks to all the volunteer groups that toiled to make GRPG a more beautiful place this past November:

National Charity League
Creekside School
Friends of Children with Special Needs
Cupertino High School Mission Bay
Morgan Autism Center
HOPE Services

And that is only the groups! We also appreciate the scores of individuals who come out weekly to make a difference. We logged 718 volunteer hours in November.

Tim volunteers with us on a daily basis, helping both in the Rotary Playgarden and at our front desk, while recovering from an injury. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Tim became an electrician years ago. Once recovered, you might find him on the basketball court or working out at the gym. Although Tim has a great interest in health and fitness, one of his greatest guilty pleasures is doughnuts. Thank you for your help Tim!
