Adopt a Rose for Valentine's Day

Looking for a distinctive Valentine's gift? A bouquet of roses will last a week, but a rose bush will bloom throughout the year. With your donation of $60, we will help you select the perfect rose from the Heritage Rose Garden and prepare a gift box for your Valentine.

Park Improvements

San Jose's Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Service (PRNS) Dept. recently installed new trail lights powered by solar panels. Copper-wire theft is a huge problem, and according to Park Manager Yves Zsutty, this solar pilot will "determine if they are more sustainable than the wired lights." Thank you PRNS!

Meet Volunteer: Kersten
Kersten has been volunteering with us since November and has been a tremendous help in the office and gardens. She used to frequent the area in 2005 and recalls there was nothing too interesting happening in the downtown area. Upon moving back to the area in 2018, she saw all the changes made in our park and, looking for opportunities to work outdoors, decided to volunteer. Kersten likes that we are a nonprofit associated with the City and the ability to work in parks. She appreciates the flexible volunteer experience affording a variety of ways to help. She also greatly enjoys the self-directed work she does in the gardens, and that everyone is very nice! Thanks for all that you do Kersten!
