Window on the River Park
Window on the River Park, our annual donor recognition event, will be held on Thursday, June 4th and is generously hosted and underwritten by Adobe Systems, Inc. We rely on individuals, corporations, and foundations for operating support for our education, advocacy, and stewardship efforts. For sponsorship opportunities or to buy a ticket click here.
Adopt a Rose
Looking for a distinctive Mother's Day gift? A bouquet of roses will last a week, but a rose bush will bloom throughout the year. With your donation of $50 (no package) or $60 (with package), we will help you select the perfect rose and prepare a gift box for your Mom. Click here to learn more!
Bike to Work Day Thursday, May 14th
Look for our Energizer Station on the trail just north of Coleman Ave on Thursday, May 14th, from 6 am to 9 am. Stop by for a piece of Hobee's coffee cake. Tallies from Bike to Work Day and the annual September trail count provide valuable data that supports continued investment in our trail network.
Female and feel like exploring? GRPC and Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition member Candice Stein is leading a women's bike ride along the Guadalupe River Trail to historic Alviso on Saturday, May 30th at 10 am. For more information about the 16-mile and 22-mile options, click here.
National River Clean Up Day
Join us for a day of environmental stewardship on Saturday, May 23rd from 9:00 am to noon as we remove debris from the river channel. We have already collected thousands of pounds of waste from the Guadalupe River this season! We need your help to stay on top of this ongoing effort. Please wear a hat, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. Click here to sign up.

Meet Volunteer Breann Ah Sam
Breann, or Bree for short, assists with everything from staffing our front desk to processing rose garden information. With two parents in the Coast Guard, Bree was born in Hawaii and moved to the Bay Area 30 years ago with her family. She now has a small family of her own here in San Jose. Bree's bubbly and hardworking personality have made her a fantastic fit as she volunteers in our office. When Bree is not busy at GRPC, she loves spending time with her two children. Bree can also often be found searching Pinterest for her newest craft idea or upcycling project. Thanks for your hard work Bree! |
