Guadalupe River Art Walk
We are teaming up with POW! WOW! San Jose, to bring the experience of a global public art movement into one of San Jose’s most unique natural assets, creating the Guadalupe River Art Walk. This multi-year partnership starts with creating up to 10 beautification public artworks (murals and installations) in and near the Guadalupe River Park, creating a seamless cultural experience along an urban river.
The River Park will act as a “nature studio” for a series of Artist-in-Residencies (AIR). Each AIR will provide an opportunity for the community to provide feedback and engage with the artist team. We believe in the potential of the intersection of parks and public art to inspire, revitalize, and connect our community.
Donate here to support this initiative!
Our vision is to create the Bay Area’s longest public art corridor, introducing dynamic contemporary art, highlighting the existing collection of public art, and promoting civic ownership of the River Park. Our goal is to connect diverse park visitors, encourage trail use, engage community through art, support our local creative economy, beautify our City, and promote environmental awareness.
